I have flashes,
Small glimpses,
Of this life, that is mine,
So sweet, so charming,
In a second the veil will arise,
The auto pilot switched turned,
The lock clicked on this box,
Labeled acceptable normality
I have flashes,
Small glimpses,
Of this life of mine,
What was done before my time,
So severe and uncalled for,
Entrapped in this block of lime,
The rain will fall, a fissure will form,
I’ll poke an eye through
And have a glimpse
At this life of mine.
