Not the right time

It was going to be about,

Looks & glances,

Dances & chances,

Touches & blinks,

Pens & ink,

And I wanted to write a love poem,

And tell the whole world

Of our romance,

How,

Birds fly,

Ducks swim,

And, well,

You & I,

We fall in love,

And I wanted to write a love poem,

But I don’t love you,

At least not how I used to,

And I wanted to write a love poem,

But the words have run dry,

Now,

They’re all so

Polite,

Pointless,

Meaningless,

And I wanted to write a love poem,

But,

I know you don’t love me too,

So,

Now all I can do,

Is utter that pathetic cliché,

And say,

I’ll be there for you.
