Never trust yourself with a woman,
Who has you,
Picking flowers that grow on Japanese trees,
At 4am,
When she knows you’ve somewhere else to be,
And she’ll leave the door open,
Not for you,
But for the man you used to be,
And you’ll feel her awake some night,
Upright at 4am,
She’s in pain,
So much pain,
Listening to morning birds,
And she’ll take your hand,
And brush your hair,
And hush you back to sleep,
For it’s you who’s lost,
And it’s herself she must keep.

Thanks, there’s a long story behind this one, it still has a certain hold over me
